flights is a generative poem for the web about the familiarity of change, created in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and illustrated with hand-painted images and animations.

click highlighted words to revise the poem, and click the image to change phases. you can choose when to change the text, but not exactly what will change.

this work is inspired by generative poems like Nick Montfort's Taroko Gorge and by M.D. Coverley's use of sound and graphics for the web in her many works; following Taroko Gorge's lead, I encourage anyone to remix or reuse it for their own expressive work.
