For nearly three decades, The New River has published and promoted digital art and literature. We are one of the foremost journals of digital art and literature, featuring artists like Nick Montfort, Stephanie Strickland, Lai-Tze Fan, J.R. Carpenter, Alex Saum, Mark Marino, Mez Breeze, Leonardo Flores, and many others. 

We are looking for new media, sound, text, computational, game, and moving image pieces, but we are also eager to see new, boundary-pressing, transdiciplinary experiments across these forms. 

Our current reading period for unsolicited submissions is open: October 15-November 15. Please send your submission and a 50-word description to thenewriver-g@vt.edu – we look forward to considering your work.
